What fruit plant is good for growing in a indoor garden?

by indoor i mean something similar to hydroponics…indoor lights and fans… the works…

I was thinking watermelon or cantaloupe?

if you want to grow a watermelon or a cantaloupe plant, you’ll need a very large pot, I’d say 16 inches deep at least, and as big wide at the top. you should be able to do it that way, keep it moist and light 12 hours a day. The easiest fruit to grow indoors is strawberries, and they only need a pot 6 inches deep. If you want to go crazy, you could order the small dwarf trees in pots that bear fruit, like lemons, limes, citrus fruits.

Vegetable Gardening Planting Times Advice?

I found a good site at http://www.vegetablegardeninghelp.com and got a good free vegetable gardening guide there. But now im wondering what are the planting times I need to follow.

I mean dont the planting times change from season to season? Im a little confused as im trying to plant some tomatoes and I dont know if now is the time to plant them or not. If anyone has any advice on this I would be thankful. Thanks

Planting times depend almost entirely on your area. In the North, you plant in the spring time, because the snow’s melted, and the rain won’t be heavy enough to crush the plants. In the Southwest, you plant in the fall, because the summer heat won’t kill them, and some rain will finally start watering them.

Depending on the area, planting times can be very specific and limited, or cover large areas of the calender. Sometimes there may be different times for different plants, etc.

Tomatoes tend to like it drier than most cultivated plants, but without knowing where you are, I don’t think anyone can tell you want you want to know.

What exactly is organic gardening? I am planting basil and coriander. How would they be organic or not organic?

Organic gardening simply means something that is grown in a totally natural way: no insecticides, no pesticides, no artificial fertilizers – no artificial interference. That`s all.

But first you have to find some rich healthy natural soil – not always easy these days. You can never be quite sure what has entered the soil now – so much pollution falls from the sky with the snow and rain.
