As someone who's wacko crazy about recycling and composting, I heartily rate this little unit five stars. There is NO odor, it's a breeze to clean, it stores handily out of sight under the sink. I considered the ceramic version, read unhappy comments about the flimsy handle and the ceramic's tendency to chip. This one answers both those concerns. Even my wife likes it. Great delivery from the third-party distributor.

Now, if I could find a sortable storage unit for my recyclables, I'd really be in pig heaven...
I bought this compost pail with a mother's day gift certificate and loved it. However after 3 months of use including washing after emptying the pail in my garden, I found the side right under where the handle connected had split about 2 inches at what appears to be a seam in the metal. I have not found any product guarantee. I have an extra brand new filter set that I won't be able to use.

This is a simple and elegant solution to composting ... the filter works incredibly well and there is no smell ... Nice capacity and the handle makes it portable to bring it to your cuttings.

No complaints here! Looks great on the counter, and does a great job containing any scent. Good size too, takes a full week for my family of 3 to fill up and we eat lots of fruits and veggies! Would recommend to friends!

Pro: I am very pleased with the compost keeper. I have it in my sink and is very nice looking and unobtrusive. There is no noticeable odor emitting from it.

Con: When I opened the box it came in there was not even a sheet of paper explaining about the filter top. At first I tried to open the top, then realized that wouldn't happen.

Had to spend my time several days to try and find out about filter replacement. Called Amazon and then emailed them. Finally received the phone number of the manufacturer and ultimately talked with a live person. It turns out you just remove the filter by pulling it out of opening and replacing it with a new one. All it would take is a simple piece of paper explaining this.

I have been planning and researching for the last 5mths and am ready to get my organic garden started. We made a worm farm out of an old fridge about a year ago, so now we have a steady supply of worm juice and very rich soil to use. We live in Australia and the summer has just finished so will plant my seeds within the next two weeks. We will have to keep in contact and see how our gardens grow!! =)

Great video. Nothing to object to about ending world hunger by home-grown effort- and hey, Kryptiea, that's some intelligent commentary there. You're obviously WAY smarter than President Obama. By the way, where does YOUR food come from, and what's in it? You don't know? I didn't think so...
