The biggest mistake you can make with indoor plants is, over-watering & over-fertilizing.
Keep tabs on pests as well. While the weather is nice, take the plants outside for a ‘bath’. Spray them down with an insecticidal soap, & rinse them gently with a garden hose. This is great to do in the fall before bringing houseplants back indoors as well.
Also, if you feel so compelled, you can re-pot every couple of years with fresh potting soil & a new pot no bigger than 2 inches bigger than the pot it was growing in.

1) Make sure they get plenty of light.
2) Get a water bottle with a sprayer. They are sold where plants and potting soil etc… are sold. Spray a mist on the plants when you water them. I think plants can absorb water with leaves as well as roots. Anyways, plants like it a lot.
3) Don’t overwater, but definitely don’t underwater. Use a little plant food sometimes. If you miss a few waterings you will know it because your plants will shrivel up.
